Phase 5 LRV

In coming September, the Light Rail will have served the passengers in the Northwest New Territories for 35 solid years. The latest Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) – the Phase 5 LRV – commenced service in November 2020. Compared to its predecessor, it has an improved LED lighting system for enhanced ambience and modified handrail and straphanger arrangements to create an even more passenger-friendly experience.

The miniature Phase 5 LRV, which is “serving” route 610 towards Yuen Long, as indicated on the front display, captures all the details of its real-life counterpart, from the exterior to the roof structure and the interior including the seats, multi-purpose areas, handrails and straphangers.
