Inside each blind box is a figure of Mr Monopoly dressed as an MTR staff, together with an MTR-sign-inspired token that can be used for the “MTR Edition Monopoly Board Game”. The set includes 5 boxes. There are 4 basic versions of figure, featuring Mr Monopoly as an MTR station master, station officer, station assistant, maintenance staff and a limited-edition gold colour to surprise and delight fans of MTR.
The special edition turns the board spaces into various MTR stations, 4 MTR depots, MTR Malls and MTR Mobile.
The MTR Edition Monopoly Board Game features unique MTR elements for the board, chess pieces and property places.
The selection of the property places bases not only on the MTR Mobile users' survey comments, but also the system map, the geographical locations and the iconicity of the stations, etc.
Starting from Tuen Mun, the map of MTR Edition Monopoly Board Game passes through MTR stations including Tai Wai, Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui as well as depots, and finally arriving at the “king of property” – Admiralty.
Themed on MTR throughout, the “MTR Edition Monopoly Board Game” takes its players on a special rail journey.
In addition to the board game, MTR is launching the “Monopoly Blind Box Ticket Set” at the same time. Each set contains one ticket and one blind box. There are altogether four ticket designs, featuring Mr Monopoly as different MTR Staffs. The blind boxes, which are designed to look like MTR train compartments, can be used for storing and displaying the tickets. Inside each blind box is a figure of Mr Monopoly dressed as an MTR staff, together with an MTR-sign-inspired token that can be used for the “MTR Edition Monopoly Board Game”. There is even a limited-edition gold colour to surprise and delight fans of MTR and Monopoly alike.
