N Scale MTR M Train Model Development Progress - Motion Test

After years of long development, the very first complete set of N Scale MTR M Train prototype cars has finally been unveiled! The moment I saw the C unit train equipped with a pantograph for the first time, I couldn't help but feel thrilled. For train models, one of the most crucial aspects is smooth operation, and now the official track compatibility testing has begun!

This round of testing focuses on:

  • Compatibility with tracks and turnouts
Ensuring the train model runs smoothly on most types of track accessories, so that the M-Train is compatible with the widest range of track systems that players are already own.
  • Slope climbing and traction tests
The N Scale M Train is designed as a 1M7T formation (1 motor car and 7 trailer cars). The motor car must provide power for the entire train set and climb the required slope ratio. Passing this test means the M-Train can transition from flat track to viaduct sections, making it easier to recreate authentic MTR urban lines viaduct scenes.
  • Endurance, component attrition and coupler testing
After track testing, the full trainset undergoes endurance and long-duration operation trials. The model must meet requirements for continuous operation over hours, verifying the stability of the motor, wheelsets, circuit boards and couplers. At the same time, we closely monitor component attrition to adjust materials and parts compatibility.

Currently, the M Train's testing progress is smooth! In the next update, we will show you the color design & details of the M Train's model—stay tuned!
