Description
The $20 stamp sheetlet is specially printed with 3D embossing and spot vanishing, vividly depicting the Vibrant Express of the High Speed Rail.
Launched on 23 September 2018, the 26-kilometre High Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section) connects Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to the national High Speed Rail network.
It offers direct train service from Hong Kong to a number of cities in the Mainland, with an ever-expanding coverage from 44 stations when it was commissioned in 2018, increasing to 68 stations as of July 2023. The High Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section) connects Hong Kong with various destinations in Guangdong Province, including the six Greater Bay Area cities (Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Foshan, Zhaoqing and Huizhou) and Chaozhou, Shantou and Shaoguan, as well as cities outside Guangdong (such as Xiamen, Guilin, Kunming, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shanghai and Beijing).
In addition, the co-location arrangement is implemented at the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, under which clearance procedures of both Hong Kong and the Mainland can be completed in one go, providing passengers with effective and convenient railway services. The stamp showcases the MTR Vibrant Express train of the High Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section), which mainly serves short haul routes between Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
